This documents history of domestic violence, emotional abuse, psychological trauma, PTSD, Effects of daily functioning and any other psychological disorders resulting from abuse. For individuals fleeing persecution in their home country. Evaluations may document experiences involving:

Political persecution, Religious persecution, Gang violence, Cartel Violence, Gender-based violence, Torture, Threats or persecution by government entities.

For victims of qualifying crimes who have suffered substantial physical or emotional harm. Common crimes may include: Domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, kidnapping, assault or stalking.

The evaluation focuses on the emotional impact of the crime & resulting psychological symptoms.

What to Expect During an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?

STEP 1: Consultation

We’ll discuss your immigration case & determine whether an immigration evaluation is appropriate. If your attorney has recommended this service we will connect with your attorney. 

STEP 2: Clinical Interview

A comprehensive interview lasting approximately 3-6 hours (depending on complexity of your case) is completed.

Trauma informed assessment

Standardized psychological measures when clinically appropriate

Comprehensive forensic-style report (typically 6-15 pages)

One round of minor attorneys revisions at no additional charge

STEP 3: Psychological Assessment

When appropriate, psychological assessments (measures) will be administered to support clinical findings in your case.

STEP 4: Report Writing

A detailed report is prepared and shared with your attorney after obtaining your written authorization.
